Retro Rocket

I designed this model using Tinkercad, breaking it down into two separate pieces that required a threaded connector to hold them together seamlessly. Since I was planning to print this on my Printrbot Simple, which has limited build area, I needed a creative solution to create a larger rocket design without compromising its integrity. After several failed attempts, I finally managed to perfect the model, but it took me four different tries to get the side rocket fin things just right. These delicate components kept snapping off during or after printing, forcing me to revisit my design and make adjustments accordingly. Initially, I had envisioned a screw thread system, but unfortunately, my printer's calibration issues made this approach unfeasible. Undeterred, I opted for an alternative solution inspired by a user on Thingiverse who suggested using pins as connectors. While the results were mixed, this innovative approach ultimately allowed me to assemble the rocket successfully. Despite the many trials and errors that came with this project, I'm thrilled with the final outcome and proud of my perseverance.
