Attribution: a massive rework/remix of a source file https://grabcad.com/library/retro-television .

A probably-never-built TV set reminiscent of what might have been produced in the late 1950s.

Print Settings

Printer:

AnetA8

Rafts:

No

Supports:

Yes

Filament:
any PLA

Notes:

I strongly recommend printing the Y-bracket (yoke) and the two bar ends horizontally, which will make them much stronger and more accurate at the expense of some support material.
Print the cabinet on its back with "support everywhere" . The only place supports should get generated is inside the y-bracket socket hole, and the recess for the drawer will come out clean.
Depending on your printer, you'll probably have to ream out the hole in the CRT monitor where the bar ends go a little.

I printed at 2X the STL sizes; no reason you couldn't make it even bigger. If you print smaller than that you may lose resolution on the logo, the tuning knob, etc.

How I Designed This

I took apart the source file, built the drawer (into which one might put a miniature TV Guide :-) ), made the CRT support system rotatable in two axes, etc.

You need to print two of the "bar end" piece, one of everything else.

Category: Model Furniture
