Here's a reusable mold for a silicone boot specifically designed for Wanhao D6/Monoprice Ultimate printers, thanks to the original files generously provided by 1bigpig. Assembling and disassembling this mold is incredibly easy. To further enhance its functionality, I've increased the size of the cutouts for hot end and nozzle access. For a flawless finish, sanding is essential, as it not only improves the fit but also gives the cast an attractive appearance. I relied on Mold Max 60 from Smooth-on, a high-quality material engineered for pewter casting that maintains stability up to an impressive 294C. Additionally, their Universal mold release is a must-use product in this process. My printer primarily uses PETG filament, which operates within a safe temperature range of up to 240C.
