To begin a reverse engineering series, I will use real 3D scan data with lower quality than usual promotional examples. The task remains the same for each episode: converting cloud points into a surface or solid model in a neutral format or native CAD software. I won't publish my own versions but encourage you to share your renders, queries, and feedback. The resulting part will be provided in *.STL format after extending the flange to 0.5 inch (12.7 mm).
