For final working view, look at "Final View stl", For the final model and printable design, look at to "To Print stl" This desk organizer allows students to place their smart devices and simultaneously charge them, organize binders/folders, and organize their desk supplies. These different subsections many be printed separately or all together. Printing separately allows for reversible orders of the components. This organizer stands out from all other as it is able to hold so many items with a compact size while looking more like an architectural piece with its modern design. My envision for this organizer was to help people easily access many items while preventing them to be distracted from their phones. When a student places their devices on the mat and covers it up with the folders, the devices become out of sight and prevents their use. I struggled with the aspect of measuring my elements to perfect sizes so that the model would work with real-life objects and their sizes. If I had to redesign, I would have created more space for students to place their folders. 3D-Printing would help strengthen my design as the plastic would make the design rigid and strong enough to support the potential storage items.
