<<< REVISED >>>LED Service light
thingiverse
I desperately required a light source to reconnect wires that had been dislodged over time, and running out to retrieve one was unacceptable. Therefore, I constructed a portable LED illuminator that conveniently mounts to my printer where needed. The LEDs are segmented into groups of three; this is the method used in its fabrication. These versatile lights can be obtained from Amazon for less than $8.00 for 16 and a half feet, equating to 300 individually brightened LED lights with a strong 3M adhesive backing. The value was undeniable as I utilized these identical LEDs to adorn the bottom of my extruder mount, beautifully illuminating the piece in progress. The entire creation process was efficiently facilitated through DesignSpark Mechanical, a robust and exceptionally easy-to-master CAD system, available for free online.
