An alternative filament guide for my other creation is available at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:106809. This version allows smooth up and down movement to prevent filament feed restriction when the spool level lowers. The tab prevents the arm from falling below horizontal or past vertical when used with the quick change spool holder (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:98893). The feed head rotates independently, ensuring the head is always at a natural filament angle regardless of spool fullness. No raft or support is required for printing. Choose 50% infill but personal preference may vary. Some sanding of pins might be needed to clip them into holes correctly. This guide is compatible with http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:98893, with tabs designed to provide free arm movement while stopping it at horizontal to prevent filament feed restriction when the spool contains less than 60% of its capacity.
