For a school project some colleages and me got the task to create a wifi controlled display with scrolling texts. This was a succes and i thought to share it with you guys. It uses a Wemos d1 mini as a microcontroller which connects to your WIFI. from there you need to go to the assigned IP (can be configured in the arduino software) fill in the login and pass. then you can type whatever you want with every speed, colour and brightness. Parts needed: 1x wemos d1 mini (aliexpress) 5x 70cm addressable ws2811 60 ledstrip (aliexpress) 1x 5v 2a cellphone charger some wire Wood plexiglass lasercutter i will upload the DXF files soon.
