Rhino Arc II Power Cord Minder

The Rhino Arc II is a terrific, rechargeable, self-contained camera slider system. For longer shoots, I like to keep the Arc II plugged in to AC power, but found that the power cord would occasionally snag on my tripod when the head moved back and forth along the rail. Designed this doohickey to support the AC power cord away from the carriage of the slider to keep it out of the way of the tripod knobs and handles. It also serves to provide strain relief for the power cord port. In its current iteration, it holds the power cord out about 2.25" from the slider rail, which is enough for me to clear the potential snags. Two parts: base and cover. You'll need to attach the cover to the base with a small self-tapping screw. I recommend pre-drilling a hole in the base. Alternatively, I suppose you could use a piece of gaffer tape instead of the plastic cover. For some reason, Thingiverse will not allow me to add photos of the printed piece, but you can see a video of it in action here: http://bit.ly/JCHP-Rhino-ArcII-Cord-Minder
