Inspired by: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:12489 I took the basic Rhombic shapre directly from there. I decided to see whether I could do the spiral cut entirely inside Openscad. There is at least one very interesting for loop. I can hardly call this a puzzle though, it is trivial to put together. As far as I can tell this method can be used to cut any shape into spiral quarters.
