Ribaudo Kiosk - Palermo, Sicily

myminifactory

Welcome back to Sicily! Another great model of Palermo created by MiniWorld 3D collaborator Manfredi Laguardia from @3dlayerup. The Ribaudo Kiosk (Chiosco Ribaudo), located in Piazza Verdi, in front of the Teatro Massimo, was designed in a combination of art-nouveau and baroque styles by architect Ernesto Basile. It was built in 1894 (from Julius V on Flickr). Kiosks like these are traditional shops in open spaces originally meant to sell tobacco, newspapers, refreshments, etc. Many are still in use today, also offering ice cream. MiniWorld 3D is excited to bring this historical model to life as a homage to all the people of Sicily. Please give credit, it's all about spreading culture and education!
