Ribbot Hexbug Battlebot

Ribbot Hexbug Battlebot

My son is a huge battlebot fan, does his own hexbug battlebot videos on youtube so this is our interpretation of the Ribbot Battlebot based on the hexbug R/C platform of the NEW witch doctor, the one with the white skeleton self-righter piece on top. There is another model on here based on the OLD witch doctor, but we had a spare new one so I started from scratch to make our own. I may do some more tweaking, but the top piece could use a little magnet to stay on more, ours is tight, but the big hits can shake it loose which for us is part of fighting and fun.The top does not attach in any way, the little clip piece that hold the skeleton armor was broken on our spare hexbug toy so that was not an option for us to re-use. the back piece is not original to the real battlebot, but we needed some pieces to be detachable to "end" the fight once they all fall off so we made a back piece with spikes front forks are little too big, but work very well, weapon is quite powerful as well. To attach the forks I used a piece of copper wire, you could put right sized screw or pretty much anything that allows them to move/wobble a bit and stay in place. We will be painting the purple body parts green to finish off the look. All of it is printed in PLA, nothing fancy, obviously use supports etc.. No video yet, but you will soon find it on our channel in the next season of Martinek's Battlebots or maybe some shorter review clips to show this build off: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8cQsEUFrGhc&list=PLxlKF0_6WN1t4_rIIz3dDqsaC-eHPIBNh If you'd like to see other builds please let us know!! we're working on a tombstone-to-huge conversion, bronco-to-hydra and maybe more..
