This Ridgeline Phone Hanger is a remix of a few different projects. The original that I can identify is the Amok Draumr ridgeline holder. Several issues such as ease of printing, support structure use, and the inability to use the original project to hang a device in a tent apex light loop led me to remix this project. The Ridgeline Phone Hanger is now L-shaped which allows for an easier print and easier pack-ability. The center hook was narrowed and smoothed to allow for using this in a tent's apex light loop as well. Each STL was modified to be in proper print orientation and renamed for better print model identification for those that download them. Some of the objects were skeletonized to decrease filament usage and print time as well as modified to reduce the amount of support materials needed. Two options for the phone mount are available to accomodate for larger devices, however the Long version will not collapse down as neatly. The print does still require some support structure, but primarily only for the ridgeline hook and bolts if printed. I have also included an optional GoPro Ball-Joint set that can be used to change hang direction inside of a tent for instance (This does require an additional bolt/nut). I do suggest printing in PETG for strength. Remember, you're probably setting up a hammock to enjoy the outdoors. Don't let this take away from that! If you can, unplug and go spend time in God's beautiful creation! This is intended more for those days where the rain just won't stop or if I need to let my boy watch a show as he dozes off for the night. :) Required hardware to complete this project are an M5 Hex Head Nut and an M5 x 25mm Hex Head Bolt with 0.8mm thread pitch. These can be acquired at most hardware stores. I have included models to print them, but they are only there for testing purposes. Do not attempt to print vertically, the bolt will snap with very little pressure and regardless of print orientation should not be used as a final solution.
