<p>When using a sander, I prefer to connect it to a shop vacuum to keep the dust in my shop under control. The collection bag provided with the Ridgid R2601 random orbit sander can't collect all the dust and a shop vac (equipped with a HEPA filter) provides a much better solution. This adapter fits my sander (exit port diameter 38.5mm) and my shop vacuum (57.5mm). If your application has different measurements, they may be adjusted with the included OpenSCAD file.</p>
