# What is this? This is a tapered slip fit adapter that lets you connect the flexible hose from a Rigid Shop Vac into 2 inch Schedule 40 PVC Pipe. # Why would I want one of these? Shop Vac Brand pipes and extensions are expensive. 2" PVC is comparatively cheap. This type of PVC has a slightly smaller inner diameter than the shop vac pipe, so there are some trade-offs. I'm going to use this with a long upside down J-shaped pipe to clean my gutters. I could also see it being used to help plumb together a dust collection system. # Possible improvements * Add screw holes for semi-permanent mounting * Make another one for larger pipe sizes # Printing and Testing I printed mine on a Monoprice Select Mini in PLA with a 0.306 (fast) layer height. It fit my hose and pipe, and didn't _feel_ flimsy. I tested it briefly vacuuming aluminum chips (and a screwdriver, chuck key, and an allen wrench) (_oops_ ) out of my CNC mill and it worked fine.
