RidwanS' Lock and Release Surface is a unique product designed by Ridwan S using SolidWorks 2014 and rendered with KeyShot 5. The surface has 130,613 vertices and 261,222 polygons. It was created to solve common problems such as glasses falling off tables or difficulty attaching clocks or wall lamps without nails or screws. Inspired by the fabric fastener (hook and loop fastener), it is made of plastic ABS or another recommended material with compatible elasticity and stiffness. Ridwan S chose 3D printing technology due to its inability to be handled by other manufacturing processes. The product is patent-free, falls under the category of fasteners, and could revolutionize industries that use fasteners as well as create new holder options for various products. It has adjustable size and dimensions and can be used as wall or table surface tiles. Ridwan S believes Japan will find this technology particularly useful for earthquake-resistant housing. He has also submitted other 3D printing challenge entries, all of which are available for free download with a "♥" button hit as payment.
