This Adapter Snaps on to the Drain Outlet of the SCA-1200HT Support Cleaning Apparatus In order to point the flow of Liquid down instead of out. We have not had to drain our unit yet so I do not know how well it functions. If there is back pressure I could see the Liquid trying to make its way out the slots between the tabs, but unless you are blocking the outlet you shouldnt have an issue. You may need to slowly open the valve to make sure it does not spray
