Rigid Palm Sander Vacuum Adaptor

Rigid Palm Sander Vacuum Adaptor

This has been tested and it did not blow up my sander - I'll consider that a success though, of course, I don't guarantee it'll work for you I made a mess of my basement cutting and sanding wood, so I went ahead and create this nice adapter for my sander. It fit into the place where the dust filter used to be and should work much better. There are small vents so you can reduce the pressure on the tool. This was mainly done so that if there is an issue with too much suction, I have a chance to fix it before going back to the drawing board. The control ring is placed on the end of the tool so you can turn the vents on and off. I included the fusion 360 assembly image for an idea of how it goes together. I created a whole write up on my website with Fusion 360 images if you're curious more about the how and why I made this: http://www.anthony-herrera.com/2019/04/02/adding-vacuum-suction-to-a-palm-sander/
