Rigol PVP2150 Probing Mount Accessories

I got a new Rigol ds1054z scope that came with Rigol PVP2150 probes (the smaller, all black kind), and I needed something to hold the probes in place on circuit boards. I had already printed this very nice probing station designed by giufini: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2427726 So I designed these probe holder accessories to work with it. Alternatively these holders may also work on other setups with a similar vertical post. The holes and slots are all sized for use with M3 hardware (vs M5 like the originals). I made a few different configurations to suit a variety of applications. There are stiff arm and flexible arm setups to reach almost any probing location/angle. The stiff arms are a bit more precise for hitting small test points, and the flexible ball/socket arm is great when you need to move the probe around a lot. The slip in style holders are easy to use and compatible with high frequency spring grounding connectors; best for most situations, especially where simply connecting your probes to guifini's existing probe accessories might introduce too much ground loop noise. The snap in holder has less degrees of freedom, but it holds the probe very securely; best for repetitive production style probing tasks. A brief description of the stl's======================= pcbToolRigolPVP2150holderSlide.stl - no supports slide in style holder w/ friction fit, pivots for probing at angles, more vertical clearance than the clip style arm, compatible with high frequency probe "grounding springs", for use with either the horizontal arm or socket adapter below pcbToolRigolPVP2150armSnap.stl - supports required clip style holder snaps on securely (like the spring hooks that come with the probes), holds probe at 90* only, has less clearance than the pivot holder style, not compatible with probe "grounding springs", for use with the vertical arm below pcbToolRigolPVP2150armSlide.stl - supports required a stand alone straight slotted arm with slide in style holder, for use with the vertical arm below pcbToolSocketAdpt.stl - no supports fits giufini's ball/socket arms, for use with the slide in style holder above (and perhaps other items you want to bolt to the end of your ball/socket arm) pcbToolHorizArm.stl - no supports horizontal arm for use with the slide in style holder and vertical arm below pcbToolVertArm.stl - no supports fits into giufini's "crane arm base", for use with the horizontal arm above More suggestions==================== I recommend printing the socket adapter and the snap style arm in ABS for proper flexibility/operation. PLA may be too stiff for them to work well. Also, depending on your setup you may want to use a brim on the flex adapter, since it does have a kind of small footprint. 0.2mm resolution is OK, although IMHO the socket adapter works better with 0.1mm resolution. Enjoy!
