Ring and Jewelry Dish

Ring and Jewelry Dish

My wife asked if I could make her a jewelry dish to hold her rings and earrings using some FormFutura Granite StoneFil filament. It has a nice smooth feel and the matte grey looks quite nice on smooth shapes.

I have uploaded a few versions which were modeled slightly different ways. Version 3 was printed. The StoneFil gives it a nice smooth concrete or sandstone look. You can vary th extrusion factor to give the surface finish more of a porous look

Print Settings

Notes:

3D PRINTING SETTINGS

Resolution:

0.15 layer, 0.6 nozzle

Infill:

25% cubic

Filament: FormFutura StoneFil PLA Granite

Notes:

Printed at 50mm/s at 210c. It took about 6 hours.

Take note of the ring spikes. Make sure you use a minimum layer time to keep them from overheating. Your retraction will also need to be dialed in to prevent stringing.

You can likely print the base much faster.
Category: Jewelry
