Ring Making tools This is a set of tools I printed to help me form and shape a wooden ring. First is an expanding disk to hold a ring in place and attach it to a power drill for shaping. I followed an instructable to make bent wooden rings (http://www.instructables.com/id/Bent-Wood-Rings/) and was having trouble making a perfect bevel/comfort fit edge. A microlathe would be the perfect solution, but since I don't have one or want to spend the money to buy one, affixing the ring to a power drill seemed like the next best solution. Insert the 2 semi circle into one end of the ring and tighter the tapered screw until it holds the ring firmly. I also have a simple round form to wrap the wood around to form the basic ring blank. Lastly is a 3 pronged tool to hold the ring from the outside for inside finishing and polishing. I didn't actually end up using it as the inner holder was sufficient for me, but a tight rubber band around the outside of the prongs to tighter the grip would be recommended. As a side note, all tools were made with a ring size 6 1/4 in mind, if you need a different size adjust the outer diameter accordingly.
