Risom side chair

Risom side chair

Originally designed by Jens Risom, who designed the first chair for Knoll, this chair known as the Risom side chair was assigned to me in a CAD class to model in Rhino. I went and took a few pictures and some measurements of one then made my model. The chair is supposed to have webbing but my skill level wasn't up to it. I think it is my learning curve not the limits of Rhino. Instructions I've made it a thing in progress but the frame is complete, I just need to tackle the webbing. I have included the source file that allows you to see each part; frame, legs, dowels and bolts and also try your hand at the webbing or some other solution! It will definitely need to be scaled down to fit on a printer as it is full size but if you have rhino you could extract the measurements and make your own wood one! I think knowing about bridge feature might be handy but I don't know much about it to be honest. If you print them you could use paper strips as webbing.
