Located at the westernmost point of Hiiuma island on the coast of Baltic Sea in Estonia is the Ristna lighthouse. Built in 1874 after the nearby Kõpu lighthouse was often obscured by fog, its two cast iron cylinders with service room, balcony and watchroom raises up to 30 m (98 ft.) with a focal height of 37 m (121 ft.) above the sea level and its light has a range of 12 nautical miles with a red blinking light warning of the dangers of ice movements in the Gulf of Finland. Today, the lighthouse can be visited and is enlisted as architectural monument as a part of the Estonian Heritage The model was designed using pictures and detailed drawing of the actual building in scale 1/160 (N scale). You can resize it using your favourite software before print, however, if you do so, some of the parts may lose stability or look over scaled. This model can be a great addition to your layout or diorama. You will print 11 different pieces that need to be assembled as any other model kit: I attached an instruction booklet together with the downloaded files. Printing, painting and weathering will give you a lot of fun! Happy modelling!
