Rivendell Knob

Rivendell Knob

This was designed specifically for the November ‘22 knob design contest. I tried to make the cabinet handle look like it could be a remnant from Elrond’s house, Rivendell.

Model at 100% is about as small as you'd want to go with a .04mm nozzle. I'd suggest printing at 120%. I think I downsized the screw hole correctly with the 120 .stl. It's fairly sturdy considering the relatively fine structure.

Print without supports, print slowly, if possible, avoid print head traversing across the print.

It occurs to me that at 300% or 400%, it could make a nice curtain rod finial, or a fence post top. The base at 100% size including the tiny shoe moulding, measures 11 mm.

The hole on the bottom will accept a standard cabinet handle screw at 100%, you may have to play around with screw length. (cut the screws if necessary with lineman's plyers) Its not threaded, but the screw should self thread as it goes in.
