RM Mobile One v3 center hinge cover

The Mobile One is a (sadly discontinued) series of laptop from RM, designed for use in schools. Children are a destructive bunch of disgusting creatures, and so this laptop is made to endure them. Hard screen cover, shock absorber corners, and a case seemingly constructed from the same adamantium alloy that coats Wolverine's skeleton. The weakest point is the center cover for the hinge, which protects the delicate display and wireless cables. Though secured by several screws and additional plastic latches, some of the more determined larvae can still snap it off and lose it. This model is designed for strength, minimizing the snappable parts. It fits snugly (I know, I've used one) and keeps the wires covered, and if you print it in black it looks almost like the original. There's a catch, though. The only way to attach this back in place is via glue. Specifically, solvent cement - nothing less will hold. That cement doesn't work on PLA, only on ABS. So if you want to get this attached properly it must be an ABS print. Note that this is for the widescreen model only - it won't fit the older 4:3! I've fitted one to a v3, but I don't have access to the v1/v2 so I don't know if they use the same hinge cover. Instructions Use ABS! PLA won't take the adhesive, and it's too weak to withstand the destructive impulses of youth.
