Convert current Magellan Roadmate GPS Navigation devices From Ball to “T-Slot” type socket mounts. Early Magellan Roadmate GPS devices used a “T-Slot” socket to mount the device to dashboard, windshield, cup holder and other mount locations. At some point in succeeding models, the “T-Slot” was replaced with a “universal” 16mm ball mount that can accept a variety of cradles to which a variety of models can be attached. Adapter prints in about 26min using .6 meter (5 gm) filament with reverse side of ball plate flat on bed. No supports were required. Photos show adapter on a T-Slot cup holder mount and the adapter inserted into the ball-socket of a RM 5265 cradle. Contact me if you need one of these, but don't have a printer. Estimated 3d printer service cost $10.00 + S&H. Print Settings Printer Brand: LulzBot Printer: Mini Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: Doesn't Matter Resolution: Normal/Medium Notes: If necessary rotate the STL so that the reverse side of the ball adapter place lays flat on the printer bed. NO supports were needed on my printer. Post-Printing Post printing Some minor sanding may be needed on top of ball mount plate to allow the adapter to slide easily & completely over the T-Slot. Some minor smoothing may also be needed for the ball so that it moves smoothly in the ball socket.
