RoadRunner 5 Gripper

RoadRunner 5 Gripper

thingiverse

This is a module for the [RoadRunner 5](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2646798) rover. The gripper payload module uses a parallel lift mechanism to keep its load upright while it lifts. Two micro 180° servos provide the movements. There are no screws used in the assembly of this module. Instead, 1.75mm PLA rivets are used as hinge pins to allow free rotation as the gripper moves up and down. The rivets can be made using raw 3D printer filament and flaring out the ends by applying a hot (~120°C) flat surface such as a hot glue gun.
