Robo 3D Bowden Adapter with Chain Attachment

Robo 3D Bowden Adapter with Chain Attachment

Could not find a bowden adapter for my E3d Lite6 that I liked, so I made this one. It has a cable chain attachment that should fit the ones I've seen for the Robo. Inspired by Mike Kelly's bowden adapter: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:285851 If printed on the long flat sides, it should not need any support. Attaches to the X-Carriage with the original bolts. Locking wedge attaches with two M4x25 machine screws. The Cable Chain X-Anchor can be slid onto the rail mount to anchor the cables to the assembly. This makes the cable chain shorter and allows all wires on the right side of the machine to be bundled together. Print Settings Printer Brand: Robo 3D Printer: R1 ABS + PLA Model Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2 Infill: 100% Notes: Printed in Taulman Tech-G Custom Section Output and testing notes: Print didn't come out perfect, I think because I was at the end of a roll and the tension was increased. Otherwise, it's completely functional and I will update once the parts I ordered arrive and I'm able to install it. Update 7/8/16: Pulled the printer apart and tested the hotend fit. Fits very well but sits a bit lower then with the stock extruder. Not that big of deal, but most fans designed for the original carriage will blow on the heat block. Not ideal so I will upload V2.0 shortly to raise it to standard height on the carriage. Update 7/8/16: Version 2.0 uploaded. Should align with available cooling fans better. Will test this ASAP and update log. Update 7/18/16: Version 2.0 works great. Added some pictures of mine. Update 8/6/16: Have printed several items with this setup and see no reason for further development at this time. Changing its status to finalized. Please let me know if you have problems or suggestions and I will reopen dev. Till then, happy printing! :D
