I use the risers so I can use the LCD screen and my original fan failed. If I don't cool the main controller board then the Z Axis fails to work properly. I decided to use the side and front as a guide to position the fan under the controller board. Just stack the printer on it like you do with the feet and risers needed to lift up the printer. Works great and won't drift out of position. I do have the top and bottom covers off of my Robo. It's 5 years old and still works great :) Just get some 1" #6-32 screws and the screw will tap the plastic and thread itself Sketchup file is there if you want to edit. Enjoy.
