Meltrandi Female Power Armor Series 3a used by the Meltrandi to Raid Enemy fleets and instillation's during the Inter-Colony War. These units saw action with fleets loyal to the Independent Colonies against the Tirol Empire. Small contingents were adapted by the Zentraedi combined Fleet and captured units by Earth Defense Forces were sent to reinforce the UN Planet Protection Plan - Colonies. The Meltrandi was an illegal production of FEMALE Zenpod deemed not necessary because the Zenpods where artificially produced. During the Inter-Colony War the Meltrandi Fleet was manufactured to determine one group of giant size soldiers from another by an Opposing Colony to the Tirol Empire. The Colony was destroyed in the conflict scattering the Meltrandi Fortress and fleets to defend themselves in deep space. After the Tirol Empire take over by the Robotech Masters small groups of Meltrandi joined their Zentran fleets making the ERA of the Zentraedi. The Zentraedi Fleets used the Meltrandi as Special Operating Forces, and Raiders but they were not allowed to integrate with the Zentran fleet. The Robotech Masters did not want nature to take its course and destroy these weapons combat potential. Production Lines: Meltrandi were constructed in production lines as the mecha R&D improved the Power Armor. Each Production Line repeats the clone cycle so that the same troops are in each fleet. Antenna design was used as a visual recognition symbol to determine which squadron a Power Armor was from. The Power Armor production design determined which Meltrandi fleet the unit belonged too.
