Robotech RRT Strategy Game Piece COSMO DNA Atmospheric Scrubber. The Earth Defense Forces (UN North/South America Sector, UEG ASC Europe/Africa Sector, and EBSIS Asia/Pacific Sector) must all install and protect the COSMO DNA Atmospheric Scrubber from destruction for a total of 6 Strategic Game Turns. Doing this ensures the world recovers from the Zentraedi Planet Assault (Public Relations -A.K.A. the Great Disaster). The first COSMO DNA Machine is constructed for free by the Eastern Bloc. If the Machine is destroyed or Captured by the Zentraedi or Malcontents it costs 5 RP to get another unit. If one of the Cosmo DNA Machines are destroyed of the 3 the Atmospheric Scrubbing will be ineffective. If the Machines can not be used 6 turns consecutively the planet Earth will become toxic. RP production on Earth will be at half. If the Cosmo DNA machines can not run at least 3 Strategic Turns Consecutively then the planet Earth dies. Role Playing Game Note: The UN Defense Forces not trusting the Eastern Bloc's intentions seldom refers to the StarBlazers mission as an Eastern Bloc success. The Cosmo DNA Atmospheric Scrubbers are used but hidden from the public to prevent the public from leaning toward the Eastern Bloc as a New World Power (I.E. The UEG ASC HQ in Monument City hides the Scrubbers in the 5 towers over the facility to reduce Radiation from the SDF resting site.). The UN Promoted Natural Recovery Zones not alien technology as the reason for the Earths recovery and a bid to maintain power and control. However, when the subject comes up the now Defunct United Nations and emerging United Earth Government refer to the COSMO DNA Atmospheric Scrubbers as simply the "Asian Miracle".
