Being an undergraduate, I wanted to program a robot, but most robot bases cost thousands of dollars. So I set out to design one using lexan and aluminum as the primary materials. Next, purchasing left over lexan from a supplier, raw aluminum, and a few visit to local hardware store allowed the design to take shape. It encloses a kinect on mast, netbook and space on the bottom for your hardware. PDF drawings for rev 2.5, rev 2.7 has some new stuff added. Sharing under CC 3.0 License. contact me at for question. NOTE: I used many parts from grabcad contributors, I in no part take credit for their work.
