Robotic Octopus from Transformers the Movie

And finally, here's the robotic cephalopod from the Transformers Movie which almost put an end to Kup's endless war stories. Well, guess he just added one more now :P Fully assembled, the Octopus stands at slightly over 30cm tall, and would make for an imposing centrepiece for your display and collection! But there's more than meets the eye! Turning the Octopus around to the back reveals a panel which can be rotated downwards to reveal a CyberTrack compatible ramp and a little control room inside sized for prime or titan masters! Having the robotic fishes from earlier adds on nicely to the overall scene! ==== Assembling this piece is quite the adventure in and of itself, so to help out, attached is a diagram showing how the entire piece fits together. All pieces require just 1 copy of each, except for the Tentacle_Tip which needs 8 copies and Tentacle_Single which used 10 copies per leg as shown above but can be reduced or increased based on your liking. These tentacle parts are also designed deliberately with a flat edge which should be placed flat on your print bed for 3d printing. The tentacle parts also use a ball and socket approach and are sized to be a very tight fit to allow them to hold their poses. As such they can be a little hard to "force" fit into place - and for this, would recommend using a piece of cloth as a cushion and use the base of your palms to jam them together. Parts all peg together using 5mm or 10mm pegs, and as usual would suggest that acrylic or plastic rods be used for this. Alternatively, these have also been provided as printable parts which should be printed lengthwise on the printbed for optimal strength. [Update - Base piece added] Slight update here to add a base piece which will hopefully prove helpful for certain base modes. This piece has twin peg holes to attach to the corresponding holes on the underside of the Octopus. Also, three 5mm ports line the sides and back for more attachment points. With this raising the Octopus up, the horizontal slot across the back piece will fit the CyberTrack Pillars. Once they are used this way to elevate the back ramp, it brings things to the same height for connecting to other raised CyberTrack pieces, or Omega Supreme's track piece as shown in the photos. === Here's a video of this piece in action: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GPJJEblDXQg === So, hope you all have fun printing out this massive piece for your collections, he's definitely great fun to have around and pose with all the new SS86 figures which are out now! =) === This model is not to be uploaded or sold in any form and is intended for personal use only.
