Custom hangboard trainer I made to practice rock climbing and work on my strength from home! This is a pretty fun project because you can customize it to your strength and ability level. I used a piece of 2x10 lumber to give me a lot of space to add holds. As you can see I left myself plenty of room for expansion. The grey holds in the center are a good intermediate level. Make the holds more challenging by gradually doing more pullups or other body movements. Also, you can vary how many/which fingers you use. The blue holds on the outsides are more challenging. You can scale them larger if they are too difficult. I plan to redesign both holds soon. Make sure to keep your legs under you the first couple of times you try your new hangboard. It is possible your printer gave you some weak layers. Also make sure to properly anchor your board into the wall. Get yourself a stud-finder from a hardware store if you don't have one. Safety first! I've been using my setup for months with no issues, but I can't vouch for your own printer's strength so do some experimenting. Let me know how these work for you! Comment on any features/holds you'd like for me to add or change!
