Rockband/Guitar Hero Drums Silencing Pad Holder

Hi, this is my first upload on this site, I've been really annoyed by how loud and distracting is the sound of the rubber pads on the Rockband drumset, so I started to look for a way to lower the sound of the hits. At first I got myself the 20cm diameter Evans Soundoff drum pads, but since there is no way of mounting them I had to put them on with double sided tape. It was certainly not a permanent solution as the pads started to fall off rather quickly. Recently I got my long awaited 3D printer, so I decided to try to print something that will hold the Soundoff pads in place. And this is the result. I've went through 4 different prints, all of them are seen on the main photo. First one was 2mm in diameter smaller, so it sits really tight, and I wanted to print 90 degrees overhangs with no supports. As you can imagine, it basically failed, but I got 2,5 mm long overhangs tho, so it sits really tight in place. The other 3 are slightly bigger as mentioned, so the fit is more loose, but the silencer pads fit like a glove now. The overhang went through 3 versions, the last one present here to download features a 2,4 mm long, 45 degrees slants, so the print goes smoothly without the use of supports and still holds pretty tight, not as tight as the first iteration tho. Overall, I'm pretty happy with the result, it doesn't look bad considering the metal hotbed plate I use. I've heard that for TPU it's recommended to print on glass, and I understand why. It should be easier to take off after the print, and the top rant will be smooth. Nonetheless, I hope that you will find it useful, only note I have for this .stl is that you will have to rotate it 180 degrees so the big overhangs lay down on the heatbed. Have fun and rock out!
