Rocket fin (cone shaped)

Rocket fin (cone shaped)

Quick printing, single-use cone-shaped rocket fin attaches directly to Type C model rocket motor. This piece is a single-wall print and therefore prints very quickly (30 min). It fits tightly over the bottom of a Type C model rocket engine (no adhesive or tape required) and has a slot for the launcher rod. The download includes g-code, stl, and SketchUp files, feel free to edit/remix, but read the instructions for advice on slicing it. (the Thingiview shows the top and bottom as solid surfaces, this is normal for spiral-type prints) I'd love to see pics of completed prints or, even better, video of one flying! Print Settings Printer Brand: Printrbot Printer: Simple Black Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2 mm layer height, 0.4 mm nozzle Infill: none Notes: This is printed as a single wall spiral vase. Be sure to set infill to 0 and have 0 solid layers top and bottom. I had best results when setting the 'wall thickness' to 0.6 mm, even though the nozzle is 0.4. It fits a little tighter this way and is a bit more robust. I'd love to see pics of completed prints or, even better, video of one flying!
