* UPDATED* MkII provides same support but uses less filament and prints faster. Able to use any GoPro screw. Now uses one 1/4" x 1" screw and one 1/4 x 1/2" screw. All other parts are the same. ---------------------------- The Rokinon/Samyang 135mm f/2 is a great lens for astrophoto, but it does not come with a tripod collar. There are some people that use another lens' collar, I thought that solution a little poor. This solution is meant to use a Vixen dovetail on the bottom and has also a slot for a finder/guide camera. I chose not to make thread on the printed plastic to avoid failure. Given the lesser strength of 3d printed parts across layers, there are two length of reinforcements, one set of two for the bottom and one set for the top. Remember to make the reinforced printed flat. Can be glued in place with any cyanoacrylate. Also the hinges should be 2x. Other than the items shown here, one would need: - 2x screws 1/4"-20 x 3/4" length for MkI (not recommended!) - 1x screw 1/4"-20 x 1" for MkII - 1x screw 1/4"-20 x 1/2" - A Vixen dovetail with spacing between the threaded holes=30mm. - 2x 4mm x 30mm screws with self-locking nuts - thumbscrews with 4mm nut. Alternatively, thread the thumbscrew on the plastic. If using a nut, enlarge the hole. - GoPro thumbscrew with nut. Mine has the plastic diameter=10.9mm and is a bit tight.
