Roland Drum Rack Spherical Joint

Roland Drum Rack Spherical Joint

thingiverse

I feel like I use Roland's drum rack components more for non-drumming activities than for drumming! This is a spherical joint that clamps into an existing Roland drum rack (for e-drums) component. You can use this to position a non-Roland component. I've used it to make a laptop mount on a treadmill, hold an iPad, etc. The spherical ball has a screw pattern that should work with most hardware store sheetrock or wood screws. I've included the Fusion 360 files so that you can modify the screw holes as necessary for your application. As this is a structural part, I recommend using PETG, ABS, or something newer that's strong and flexible. Print with as much infill as befits your application. 100% will be the strongest, but as a spherical ball it might not be able to react that much load, so I've printed between 15-50% with success.
