Roland MDX-540 Vacuum attachment

Roland MDX-540 Vacuum attachment

thingiverse

A vacuum attachment for the Roland MDX-540 allowing a separate vacuum cleaner with a hose with an internal diameter of 30-35mm to extract dust, etc. We are currently using the Techsoft Numatic extraction system with our machine, but a regular vacuum cleaner should also hopefully work. To tighten the attachment to the CNC shaft, use an M5 bolt. I then used Davepix's M5 thumbscrew adapter - https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:118179 to allow quick and easy tightening and loosening. I have since also designed a 3d printed brush to catch the dust and aid in the extraction of dust and swarf. This is attached via glue or tape and I would advise printing multiple files to bulk up the brush, as shown in the latest picture. Please print this as a flat object (Not as the object viewer shows it) to allow it to be flexible.
