Roller Shade Fix

My roller shade broke a few weeks ago. It's around six feet long and would be over one hundred dollars to replace. The price was just to high. I decided to 3D model and print the part myself to save some money. Hopefully you can download the model and do the same. Below are the printer settings I used.

Printer: Type A Machines Series 1

Plastic: ABS no heated bed

Build Platform: Glass with sanded painters tape @ 23 degrees Celsius

Nozzle Temperature: 239 C

Nozzle Size: 0.5 mm

Slicer: Simplify 3D

Layer Height: 100 microns

Brim: 5 cm

FYI: When using ABS. Sand the tape a lot. If the print fails. Print again ASAP to maintain some heat on the build platform.

For more information go here http://helpme3dprint.com/blogs/news/13574710-3d-print-a-roller-shade-end-plug

The filament used in this print came from http://www.ORDSolutions.com

The amazing 3D printing software used in this print can be purchased at http://www.simplify3d.com

<oembed url="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hHQyPQWAaFI&index=2&list=PLttMHVhru01LgO7LuOMmjl8l4qZ5UWr7f"></oembed>

Please subscribe and comment!

Thanks,

Malcolm

Instructions

Printer: Type A Machines Series 1

Build Platform: Glass with sanded painters tape @ 23 degrees Celsius

Nozzle Temperature: 239 C

Nozzle Size: 0.5 mm

Slicer: Simplify 3D

Layer Height: 100 microns

Brim: 5 cm

FYI: Sand the tape a lot.
