Rolling MintyBoost Enclosure

Rolling MintyBoost Enclosure

I found the roll top box really nice, and started thinking where else a rolling cover would be useful. I designed this enclosure for my Mintyboost. It allows you to swap out the AA batteries by rolling the cover around. Check out version 2 in the remix box for a more refined version that doesn't need a battery holder. Overall size is 4.15" long x 1.85" wide x 0.83" tall. The cover can continuously slide around the enclosure, it's kind of addicting! Instructions Print out two of mintyboost_slide. They are symmetric and serve as both the top and bottom. Alternatively, mintyboost_slide_rep will print two of them at once. Print out one of mintycover_slanted. Order a Mintyboost here: https://www.adafruit.com/products/14 and put it together. Instead of the battery holder in the kit, I used a side loading AA holder from DigiKey, found here: http://www.digikey.com/product-detail/en/BC22AAW/BC22AAW-ND/66727 Install the Mintyboost in one side, secure it with some hot glue or tape, then insert the mintycover in the slot. Press the second cover into position. It should be a tight fit, especially on the back side (away from the pcb).
