Umbra Paper Towel Holder Challenge Project: Rollo I found this contest very interesting and I'd love to participate. The program that I use, however, does not allow me to save the project in a STEP or IGES file as required. I would be really grateful if one of the Grabcad users could do the reverse engineering to obtain those files from the ones I send you. USE I noticed that during frugal meals among friends, we often pass the paper roll each others many times, so that everyone can take all the sheets needed. The paperd roll goes form hand to hand and is placed both horizontally or vertically in different areas of the table. PROJECT It is based on two injection molded plastic parts that fit one into the other, so that can rotate on each other. The first part (light blue) matches with interference fit the cardboard tube and rotates together with all the roll, while the other (blue), hosts our hand in a stable position and allows us to tear off how much paper desired. The outer part (blue) works on the plastic elasticity to give a slight pressure at the beginning and at the end of the roll to prevent it from unrolling.
