Rollup Door Close Assist Foot Block

Rollup Door Close Assist Foot Block

thingiverse

I have trouble closing the metal rollup door on my garden tool shed. Can never close the door quite enough to slide the lock into place because the floor is not quite straight flat. With this block bolted to the the bottom of the door I can push down with my foot, leaving my hands free to lock up. This is basically a big hunk of PET-G with some rounded edges, bolt holes and recesses, and some treads on the top side. Treads are for aesthetics only and actually serve no purpose. This is way over engineered and much beefier than it needs to be. This version used 5/16" x 2 1/2" carriage bolts, recessed into the block. The block has 3 bolt holes with recessed square tops to received the carriage bolts. Used PET-G to stand up to abuse and the outdoor exposure.
