Roman/Greek pillars/columns

thingiverse

Here one can find 6 different models of columns/pillars based on greek and roman design. File format is .stl The goal is print these in [VASE MODE]. Printing each model separately is required. Scale the model so its height in the slicer is 160mm [6,3"]. Turn the model upside down, in such a way the top surface of the column is facing the hot bed. Depending on layer height the number of bottom layers of the model need to be adjusted. The following values were used to create usable parts. Layer height 0,16mm -> 4 bottom layers, Layer height 0,08mm -> 10 bottom layers. Speeds are limited by how fast a printer can print in vase mode, the geometry of the models is rather simple. Keep in mind print quality decreases with speed.
