Roomba Roller Release Clip

Roomba Roller Release Clip

The roller release clip on my Roomba broke when something got jammed in the rollers. This print replaces the original clip and eliminates the spring.

I printed with a .4mm nozzle, .3mm layer height, and 3 perimeters. I used PLA and it works fine, but PETG will have a bit more flex and might last longer.

I have included a STEP in case you want to easily modify this part. If you want to modify the native CAD file, you can use OnShape Free and modify the file at this link.

To install the new clip, you will need to use pliers and a small screwdriver to remove the pin that passes through the original clip and spring. Once you have removed them, place the new clip where the old clip was, and reinsert the pin through the new clip. Make sure all the holes for the pin are lined up. You may need pliers to squeeze the pin through all the parts.
