Root Ball Plant Propagator

Root Ball Plant Propagator

thingiverse

Designed to hold a material such as sphagnum moss in place around a vine's node to encourage the growth of new roots. When roots are sufficiently grown, the vine can be cut and immediately planted in soil without having to root in water first. Printing: Print two of each model file for a full root baller. Print does not require support. The end product will be much better if retraction settings are optimized to prevent stringing, which can cause the collars to bind together. To install, identify a growth node on your plant and remove any leaves or other growth in the area. Place one collar around the vine on each side of the node. Fill housing halves with sphagnum moss and cover the vine's growth node. Slip the collar rings over each end of the housing to lock them in place.
