Holds Spool winding in place while installing fishing line. Instructions The idea is that you thread the spool, with the spool threading holes facing up, wrap 5 times counter clockwise at the base and 5 times clockwise at the end of the spool. The spool is now appropriately wound for the roller to be in the middle of travel. (3.8 seems to be the travel each way) Then you slide the clamp on over the wound spool keeping the winds in place. Next you put the roller in the middle of its travel (approx 9.5" from bottom of end stop bracket) and put a ziptie under the roller around the beam to keep it from moving, you then go about figuring the correct length and tying your knots, I recommend surgeon knots. When you are done attaching the line to the roller, you tension and then remove the clamp. Move the roller up and down a few times, then re-tension.
