Tie Fighter rotary encoder knob, just made this for a bit of fun and to see how it would turn out.

Would probably look better in a lower layer height this one was printed in 0.2mm at 20% with supports touching base only.

Its a snug fit to the encoder knob , I had to run my hobby knife around the spline opening so I could ease it on. I will open the spline up some more and add the revised version once i get the time.

Also this is a new spool so my temps might be too high, I will check in the next day or two and add the results.

UPDATE:

Managed to find out the cause of my models coming out strange , turns out the hotend was partially clogged , but not enough for me to notice.

Ive added a V2 model which is a nicer fit but I found printing in 0.16mm @20% fits and looks better, and I used supports but blocked the support to the spline socket.

Happy Making!

Meganoodle
