I purchased a 100mm rotary table for my milling machine, purchased from here. I wanted to connect a stepper motor from SparkFun, so I can use an Arduino to control rotating for making gears. The beauty of this setup is that 1 step of the stepper motor advances the rotary plate by 1/80th of a degree, and can do it relatively automatically. The first step of this project was to design the connection support which attaches the stepper motor to the axle of the 100mm rotary table. The attached OpenSCAD file provides for either printing the main body of the support, or for milling and lathing the main body of the support from two chunks of aluminum and attaching them together. (The uploaded STL files present the elements if they are to be 3D printed.) This is an in-progress project; my next step is to 3D print a support structure for holding a display, keypad, Arduino and stepper motor board together to control the stepper. Post-Printing Assembly Components Required In order to attach this to the 100mm rotary table, you need 2 M5 12mm button-head screws. To attach to the motor, you need 4 M3 10mm screws.
