Rotary throttle control

thingiverse

This is a throttle control gear for a boat that uses a flex-cable to connect to the engine throttle. The gears give finer control over throttle than a simple lever, with multiple turns of the handle required to move the lever arm across it's full length. Instructions Print each of the parts and assemble as shown in the line drawing. The ring gear, top plate, and bottom plate all bolt together with m4 threaded bar or pan head machine screws. The gears are bolted onto the planetary hub with locknuts. It may be necessary to apply the nuts hot to get them to seat well into the chassis and avoid catching. Washers and grease are advisable to minimize friction. The lever bar fits onto the back of the gear assembly between the M4 bar on the rim of the bottom and the lever arm. Hot application of the bolt into the linear gear arm is recommended to ensure a good fit.
